John (Dick) and Carol Kingery Gaynor celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 18th. They were married at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Stumptown, WV (Gilmer County) by Rev. B. O. (Onnie) Vanhorn.
They have lived in Weston, Fairmont, and Monumental, but have lived most of their married life in Shinnston, WV where John retired from Harrison Power Plant and Carol retired from Lincoln High School as their first secretary. She also worked at Shinnston Junior High School and Enterprise Grade School, for a total of 32 years in the Harrison County School System.
They celebrated this happy occasion by enjoying a family dinner at The Wonder Bar, arranged by their daughters.
They are parents of two wonderful daughters, Jennifer Gaynor (Kenny Shade) of Martinsburg, WV and Kathy Gaynor of Herndon, VA.
