The Shinnston News & Harrison County Journal, in conjunction with North Central WV Airport, has named Gourmet Catering as May’s Business of the Month.

Some call it Mary Kay’s Place and some call it by its proper name, Gourmet Catering, but no matter what you call it, the restaurant and catering company located at 218 N. 7th Street in Clarksburg, is amazing.  In addition to serving up their specialty hoagies and salads, they also offer a variety of menu items that are homemade and seasoned with a commitment to their customers.

“We love being a part of the Clarksburg community and we try to be very involved with supporting the Harrison County residents,” said owner Mary Kay Lindsay.

After being opened for three years, the company has continued to grow and offers a full line of specialty products for caterings of any type.  With upcoming graduations, weddings, and family reunions, their menu offers something for everyone.  Throughout the year, they also offer seasonal and holiday specials on the menu.

Lindsay credits her faith, the community and the family-like atmosphere for the success of Gourmet Catering.  As a part of a local Bible study and a member of a large family, she embraces the idea of people coming together to celebrate over a memorable meal.  She and her staff offer superior customer service for dining in, taking out, or delivery and catering.

Gourmet Catering’s generosity has not gone unnoticed by the community.  They regularly donate to schools, churches, teams and civic organizations and support cultural and philanthropic events in the area.

“The customers and community of Harrison County have been so important to our success,” said Lindsay. “We love to help them out and pay it forward.”

Gourmet Catering is a member of the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce, as well as several other business associations in Harrison County.  Additionally, they are actively involved with the Clarksburg Public Library and the various events held throughout the year in Clarksburg.

“We focus on homemade, delicious food served by a family-oriented staff,” said Lindsay.  “We know how much a good meal can bring people together and we hope to make their memories and events better when they choose to dine with us.”
