With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Lura Lea Huffman, who went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. She departed this life peacefully on May 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Lura Lea was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a faithful servant of God. Her life was a testament to grace, resilience, and quiet strength. She cherished her home in the country, where she found deep joy in the simplicity and beauty of farm life.

To those who knew her, Lura Lea was a woman of unwavering faith and generous spirit.

Whether she was tending her garden, preparing a home-cooked meal, or sharing a kind word, she lived each day with intention and love. She made everyone feel welcome, often saying her greatest blessings were her family and the presence of God in her life.

Though we mourn her loss, we also rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that she is now free from pain, resting in perfect peace. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind; her beloved husband, Ron Huffman, her children, Alex (Jasmyne) Huffman, Daniel (Jill) Huffman, David Huffman; grandchildren, Aurora, Opal, Eli, Ivan, Ollie, Evie, her mother, Barbara King, her siblings Rob (Nita) King, Toni (Ralph) Ice, Amy (Jimmy) Dieffenbauch, Kari King her beloved Aunt Becky Bice; brother-in-law Don (Heidi) Huffman and sister-in-law Elizabeth “Lynn” Rose and all whose lives she touched, including her FBI family, with her kindness and quiet strength.

“I was blessed with a woman of uncommon beauty, inside and out. She was the most ‘pure of heart’ person I have ever known, who always put others before herself. Her main goal of life, even as a young girl, was to have a loving family and she does.” Ron

Until we meet again, we will remember her faith, her laughter, her love, and the beauty she brought into our lives.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17th at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston. Friends and family will gather that day from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.perinefunerals.com

The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Huffman family.
