Wanda F. Keys

Wanda F. Keys, 93 of Bridgeport, (formerly of West Union) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1931, at Wilbur (Tyler County) a daughter of the late Delbert L. and Susan O. Shields Haught. On June 22, 1950, she married Lawrence “Bub” Keys who preceded her in death.

Surviving one brother, Ray Haught, Wilbur, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by five brothers, Denver, Perry, Ermel, Thomas & James Haught, two sisters, Opal Wilcox and Hazel Marie Friend.

Wanda was retired from West Union and Pennsboro Garment Factories with 42 years service as a seamstress. She was a terrific seamstress and made much of her own clothing. Wanda was also a fabulous cook and was known for her delicious pies. Wanda was also known as “Mrs. Clean”, she kept her home spotless, and her husband Bub knew he lived in one of the cleanest homes in WV. She also loved working outside with her husband Bub. They always had a small garden behind their home, and she enjoyed helping with it as well as working in her flower beds. They had one of the prettiest lawns in West Union. Wanda was a loving wife, sister and aunt and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be extended at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Haught/Keys family.
