Janet Sue “McCutcheon” Shields, 77, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at WVU Hospital. She was born in Wyatt on June 8, 1946 to the late Charles McCutcheon and Gladys Virginia Ashcraft.
She enjoyed playing games, her cat, attending church services and loved spending time with her family.
Janet is survived by three sons: Curtis Lee Shields and fiancée Sherry Jones of Fairmont, William “Bill” McCutcheon and wife Shelia of Mannington and Michael Eugene Shields of Clarksburg as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Dorsey McCutcheon and Charles McCutcheon and two sisters: Juanita Stover and Jenny Riffle.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 11:00am until time of service, 1:00pm with Evangelist Ron Lee officiating. Interment to follow to Wyatt Cemetery.
