Melissa Darlene Butler, 52, of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Clarksburg, August 14, 1971, a daughter of Darlene Martin Butler.
Surviving are her companion, Frankie Correll; three children: Brittany Correll, Clarksburg, Kelsea Hall and her companion Thomas Roach, Clarksburg, Austin Hall, Clarksburg; grandchildren: Gavin Correll, Zane Walder, Dominique Correll, Bella Davis, Aniyah and Zayleigh Roach; siblings: Shannon Fulton and her husband Parker, Shinnston, Kimberly Nicole Butler, Clarksburg, Shawn Martin, FL, Michelle Yeager, Lumberport, Josh Martin, Clarksburg, Linda Patton and her husband Billy, Clarksburg, Andy Butler and Valerie, Clarksburg; a special uncle, Jeff Martin, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Melissa was preceded in death by one brother, Joey Butler, Jr.
Melissa was a 1989 graduate of Liberty High School and attended the United Technical Center where she received her CNA certification. She was previously employed at the VA Nursing facility in Clarksburg. She enjoyed journaling and spending time with her grandchildren.
